Winter Memorabilia Show at the NEC

November means the Winter Memorabilia show at the NEC and the Hollywood Heroes didn't dissapoint. We had Jabba installed on his new throne surrounded by Gammorean Guards, a slave Leia and Chewie!
Very little and very large

We were also joined by member of the GK (Galactic Knights) who provided us with a variety of Clonetroopers.

The Wolf Pack
The aim of the weekend was fundraising and by the end of Sunday we had managed to raise a little over £900 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Tired...but worth it!

September 2011

The long arm of the law

We kicked off September saying goodbye to the Heritage Motor Museum as we celebrated the end of the hugely successful “Sci Fi at the Movies” Exhibition.

HH Juniors in action

Star Wars characters were on hand once again to interact with the crowd. A couple of the HH Juniors also donned costumes and took part!

August 2011

As temperatures rose we helped out at more funfairs. The first of these was in Huddersfield where we were joined by newcomer Jonny and his amazing Predator costume.

Next up was Leeds again – this time at Roundhay Park. Where Badger managed to press gang a group of his fellow teachers into donning costumes like Scooby Doo, Spongebob and Bob the Builder. Two great events that helped raised even more money for our charities.

July 2011

How many lightsabers?!?

The Heritage Centre held their Sci Fi weekend and we returned en masse again (our home away from home this year!) On the Sunday we attempted a new world record for the biggest lightsabre battle.

We helped out again at Macfest at the Macintyre School in Wingrave.

This years theme was “Mac to the Future” and despite rain at the start everyone had a great time and the event was another huge success.

The month closed with appearances at two fun fairs.

This first was a day at Spalding in Lincolnshire. Next door was a huge car boot sale and we managed to pick up a few bargains ;)

The next was a two day event up at Leeds.

The weekend was extra special as it was also the wedding of member SparkySteve to Rachel – congratulations! However, the evening do was gatecrashed by a certain square pants wearing individual!

June 2011

As the weather heated up it was back to the Heritage Centre for Supercar Sunday as we kept the children entertained whilst their dads marveled at all the cars on display.

We also managed to squeeze in a Family fun day called “The Big Day Out” up near Manchester.

May 2011

It would seem that April’s purpose is to give us a rest as we were rushed off our feet in May.

First we helped out at a charity evening to raise money for Troops Relief (www.troopsrelief.com) The heroes welcomed the guests and posed for photos during breaks in the performances.

We also appeared at a couple of charity football matches. The first was at Derby County FC where The Stig did a solo stint. This was followed by an appearance at Chesterfield FC. Both games were great fun - local footballing legends versus an array of young soap actors (of which admittedly I knew only a few). For more info about what they do got to www.charityfootball.co.uk

So THATS where the Death Star plans were!

A few of us also found time to help out at a parade in Alderly Edge. It was a short walk through the town centre along with other organisations. We ended up at a local park where we posed for photos and helped judge a fancy dress competition.
